Logan

The movie takes place in the future, following the previous story lines. Logan is now older and is caring for an elderly Professor Charles Xavier. Professor X is now suffering from a mental degenerative disease, which is always sad, but with him being such a strong telepath, it’s dangerous. They’re both very much retired, although perhaps not by choice.

backgrounds_logan_outerIt is also revealed that Logan is dying because the adamantium that coats his bones and claws, is now poisoning him. As he’s older his healing abilities are no longer as strong or as quick to work, so he isn’t able to protect against the effects. Plus, he is feeling suicidal, only working and trying to stay alive to look after Professor X.

In this movie, we can see that after so many years, Logan still follow Professor Charles Xavier. He always do what Professor X asked him to do. He still respect logan as a leader.

As the story goes, we can see that Professor X was killed by Logan clone , which makes logan all alone. He tried to run from his duties because he don’t want to be leader. Later, when her daughter want him to go with her at the place where her friends where hiding. When Lauren and her daughter was attacked by the private organization, he tried to save her and died by saving her.

Magnificent Seven

Magnificent Seven based on the original 1960 Western classic was based on Kurosawa’s masterpiece “Seven Samurai”. In this movie, Daniel Washington led a hired band of misfits to protect a small Mexican village from a gang of violent bandits. He plays role of Sam Chisolm who is approached by a young woman from Rose Creek (Haley Bennett) seeking help.

Sam agrees but first he’ll need a team of gunfighters to train the townsfolk and lead the defense against Bogue and his gang. His merry band of wild west outcasts includes a boozing gambler (Chris Pratt), sharpshooter (Ethan Hawke), a assassin (Byung-hun Lee), a wanted Mexican bandit (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), a big burly tracker (Vincent D’Onofrio), and a Comanche warrior (Martin Sensmeier).

In this movie, we can see lot of teamwork and belief of teammates upon each other. When Ethan Hawke leaves the team because he was not able to shoot the bandits. But Sam (Daniel Washington) knows, he will come back, he know him from the past. For a second, I thought he was a coward but he came back to save his friends during the last battle against bandits. Then died by trying save Chris Pratt from the bandits who were chasing him.

Sam Chisolm is the leader of the team, he gave orders and his teammates were ready to die to save the village. To save a village from the bandits, Sam Chisolm made a plan like all other leaders do. He was a great Cowboy who had years of fighting experience and he also fight war while he was in military besides Ethan Hawke. He trained all the villagers who were ready to fight against the bandits. He set boogie traps to kill the bandits. He hide children and women in the basement of house. Then during last fight, when the house was on fire, he made a decision to move the children and women out of house to somewhere safe place.

I think it was a great movie, which shows the value of life , friendship, belief and leadership. Its also teach you that anything in this world is possible, seven man can defeat the large number of bandits when they fight with team efforts.

Hacksaw Ridge

Belief and conviction. Basically, those two things go hand in hand and pretty much define what makes up our personality. When going through life you will find many situations which might make you change your beliefs. Be it friends, family or other things that can make it hard for you to live by the convictions you might hold close to your heart. But how far would you go to stand by your beliefs. What if it might cost you your life in the end? It would take a very strong person to keep the faith in what you deem to be right.

Hacksaw Ridge tells the true story of Desmond Doss, an American WWII combat medic. When Desmond decides to enlist in the army, against the wishes of his soon to be the wife, Dorothy. Doss still goes ahead anyway, and soon finds himself in Bootcamp. Everything is going right until weapons training begins. When offered a rifle for practice, Desmond refuses to take the gun. At first, his commanding officer thinks he is making a joke, but Doss is deadly serious. From that point on, his squadmates think of him as a coward, and the army brass is trying their best to get him to drop out of the army. However, Desmond keeps standing by his convictions to never fire a single bullet, and to finish his training to become a medic in order to save people. When the war eventually takes him and his squad to Japan, the horrors of war will soon become a reality. But Desmond is determined to prove that you don’t need a bullet to become a hero…

By the end of this movie, you will come to realize what a hero this man has been, and how the first opinion of someone can sometimes be truly wrong. It also teaches you to always stand by what you believe in, no matter what happens.

5) Itay Targum

itay_talgam-940-529-72-ppi

In Itay Talgam’s Ted Talk, he took an interesting approach in order to discuss various styles of leadership.  He features footage of four different orchestras and specifically examines how the conductor of each leads the musicians.  One of the conductors had his eyes closed while leading, as he allows his orchestra to lead him through the musical piece.  He trusts his orchestras.  When analyzing the next conductor, Talgam describes how the meaning of music is showed on the face of the conductor as he lets the players tell the story.  The next conductor was seen as very strong, forceful, and controlling.  He felt if he was going to conduct a piece by Mozart, then “I’m responsible for Mozart, this is going to be the only story to be told. It’s Mozart as I, Riccardo Muti, understand it.”  The final conductor was Richard Strauss.  His mentality was “If you sweat by the end of the concert it means that you must have done something wrong.”  Additionally, he believed that the page was in charge and that “You have to play by the book. So it’s not about my story. It’s not about your story. It’s only the execution of the written music, no interpretation.”

Tom Wujec: Build a Team, Build a Tower

163520_800x600

The fundamental lesson, I believe, is that the design truly is a contact sport. It demands that we bring all of our senses to the task, and that we apply the very best of our thinking, our feeling and our doing for the challenge that we have at hand. And sometimes, a little prototype of this experience is all that it takes to turn us from an “uh-oh” moment to a “ta-da” moment. And that can make a big difference.’

Stanley McChrystal

MTE4MDAzNDEwNDE5MDkwOTU4

In this TED talk, five-star general Stanley McChrystal shared his experience in leadership in decades of military service. How do you create a sense of sharing for people of different ages and different technical backgrounds? How to solve the possible failures by listening and learning? For what I learn from this is a great leader is not always right, but he always willing to learn and the trust, they willing to listening from the lower. It also important to built relationship to each other. As the time age so fast, the way of people doing thing is different, the experience is so different because of age, so we have to share purpose, share consciousness. That is the challenge the leader often face.
